Jason slept in until 8:30, which was a very nice start to the day. We told him there were presents downstairs for him and he eagerly came down and saw his little pile of gifts. We are not doing the Santa thing, but- instead- giving him 3 gifts to represent the 3 wise men bringing gifts... and little gifts in his stocking. I wasn't sure how much he would be into the whole present thing or how much he would understand... but, he came on downstairs and had a huge smile on his face when he saw those presents. He quickly unstacked them and lined them up:
Then he knew exactly what to do, opened them almost all on his own and was very into playing with each of his gifts. We had to encourage him to stop playing so he could still open the other gifts. Here are a few pictures of the present opening moments:

We went with Matt's sister to their Christmas Eve service last night and had appetizers at her house yesterday. And we are heading over to Matt's parents' house this afternoon for Christmas dinner and more present opening. So lots of fun family time.I hope you all have a peaceful and relaxing day- Merry Christmas!
