wonderful!

hello! we have been super busy over this past festive weekend...

- the first session of camp ended and then the Monahans came to visit from kansas city!!

we showed them all around our little area of western michigan- it was just so great to have them around. I WISH they lived in cincinnati!!!

just a few of the highlights:

- henry and jason re-meeting one another. they never really played together, but had their moments of cute interactions!

- we went to the Petting Farm and the boys got to ride the train! and Jason even rode in the seat all by himself-- he was such a big boy, I couldn't believe it! he really loved it... Matt walked next to him. it was so cute!

- we ate out almost every meal, since we don't have much of a kitchen- and usually eat at the Eating Lodge during camp. so our favorite place to go was a breakfast place, where we had "Patriotic Pancakes" 2 days in a row! you really can't beat blueberry pancakes with strawberries and cream on top!

- I had to return to work Saturday evening, so I walked with the group to the base of Old Baldy-(the really big sand dune) only to find out later that night, they not only all climbed UP Old Baldy with kids in backpacks, they walked through the draws out to Lake Michigan, down the beach back to girls camp and then took a trail all the way back home. you better believe if I was there, it would have been up Old Baldy and back down- the end. here's a few pics from the adventure:

all in all, it was a wonderful weekend spent with the best of friends!
