catch-up!

there is a lot that happened this week, so here is my "catch-up" blog:

MADD WALK

THANK YOU so much to everyone that donated to the MADD Walk! Our team came in 2nd place overall and Danielle was the top fundraiser! Matt, Jason and I came in 5th place with $1110.00!! YEAH! again, Thank You! It meant a lot to Danielle and Jason's family that so many people were thinking about them and willing to give money to the goal of educating people not to drink and drive. Danielle said a few times that the MADD Walk is their special event to honor Jason and for others to remember his life-- there are so many "awareness" type of things today... cancer, different diseases, poverty, social justice, etc. I think Danielle is glad that there is an event for awareness of the devastating effects of drinking and driving- since this has changed her every moment and the overall course of her life forever.

Family Bike Ride

I finally went on a bike ride with Matt and Jason! and let me just tell you- after a few years of not riding a bike, that little bike seat is not the most comfortable place to sit for a half hour or so! I am still feeling the effects. the ride was fun, but we still have not quite figured out the best way for Jason to ride in his trailer. he falls over and his helmet covers his eyes- so we have to stop and re-adjust every block or so. after 30 minutes of this, he starts to whine. but he does go for quite awhile slumped over and not able to see- yet he just lays there calmly without crying. poor guy!

-- the high school girls carved pumpkins last Wednesday...

-- we went to a Corn Maze Saturday night
