Pappa's home

Hello, brave readers. Pappa was home from work today. The day started pretty smoothly and went well for the most part. Jason helped me with some very difficult tasks today, such as: buying hamster bedding, soap (not hamster), and cottage cheese. Yes, it was an interesting trip to the grocery to be sure. Jason promptly took a great nap when we got home. He was happy when he woke, but was not able to take his next nap which caused him to be a little cranky. He helped me drop Steve-O, the hamster, off at Grambo (George's) house and played with his cousins Nicholas and Alysha. He met his GG ("Great Grandma" Sherman) and Aunt Vicki for the first time around 3:00 pm. They hit it off immediatly. He was joined later by Nanee and Grandy. He's got a big day tomorrow with a four generation picture. That's one big day for such a little guy.

oh, can we hear (well, read) the story of the hamster? I can't figure out what's going on there. and also, the soap and cottage cheese - were they or were they not related in any way to the hamster?

All great questions. Steve-O, the hamster, became my classroom pet shortly after holiday break. He is a Russian Dwarf Hamster and is one fireball of a rodent. He's a biter and a scratcher. He's basically a street fighter hamster. The soap and cottage cheese where in no way used in conjuction with Steve-O and all three are alive (except the soap) and doing well. Steve-O got hamster sat by my nephew Nicholas during spring break. He desparately wanted a pet hamster so I gave him Steve-O sort of as a test-drive. He now realizes the error of his way.
